whats new in bedrock
Recently I visited my local Electronics Store 'MAPLIN' which we now in Cornwall finally, so I have been down and had a good look around and found that they are pretty good, and they have alot of stuff in stock and a store of components on the premises too, some you can order and pick up from your local store if they don't have it in stock.
So I stopped and picked up a few bits and started building stuff.....

Are we doing enough to save our planet ??
We live in a throw away world it seems.... If it stops working then we just throw it out and it goes into landfill sites in our community, lots of stuff nowdays is made in china at a very low cost of manufacture but medium to high retail cost to us the consumer, but its typically 'cheap and nasty' as they say.
Nobody repairs alot of stuff nowdays as the cost of repair is sometimes more than the cost of replacement, typical things I see when I'm out and about are the Dyson range of Vacuum Cleaners, I've seen so many of these things thrown out from a repair shop, there must be a mountain of these things in landfill rubbish tip near you !!
Now they come with a 5 Year Guarantee, well about time too I say the cost of this Dyson rubbish is rediculous.
